Volunteer: Send Silence Packing Exhibition

Alumni are invited to volunteer with campus offices hosted the "Send Silence Packing" exhibition. This exhibition is part of a national program to raise awareness, spark conversation, and share resources on suicide prevention.

Volunteer roles include event set up and clean up, and serving as a resource or point of contact during the event for students who may need referral to an onsite mental health clinician.

Join the Inland Empire Alumni Network for their regularly-occurring "Keep Riverside Clean & Beautiful" Adopt-a-Street cleanup! We will clean up University Avenue between Iowa Ave. and Canyon Crest Drive. Together, we can help clean and maintain this important gateway connecting UCR to the City of Riverside! Trash pickers, trash bags, and gloves will be provided.

We are excited to kick off this year’s UCRAA Scholarship application cycle, and invite you to participate as a volunteer reader and scorer. Your support plays a vital role in selecting the outstanding students who will receive scholarship awards from the UCR Alumni Association. 

 

What to Expect: 

Timeline: Reviews will take place between June 25 and July 9. Interviews for First-Year, Transfer, and Re-Entry will take place during the week of July 18-July 26Format: All application materials will be shared via email. Interviews will be via Zoom or at the Alumni & Visitors Center (determined by the region chair).  Time Commitment: We estimate that reviewing and scoring applications will take approximately 2-4 hours. Interviews for the top 3-5 applicants will be 30 minutes each (2.5 hours). Deliberation will happen directly after the final applicant.  Training: Reviewers will receive a scoring guide to help standardize the scoring. Each interview committee will be given the same questions to ensure consistency.
