Advocacy - Highlander Advocacy Network

Who We Are

The Highlander Advocacy Network allows UCR alumni and friends to be included in the campus’s vested community of advocates. As part of this inner circle, advocates will have access to elected officials and information about the legislative goals, opportunities and challenges facing UCR and higher education. Advocates will be asked, when appropriate to communicate UCR legislative goals, opportunities, and challenges with elected officials. Volunteers within this network will have various engagement opportunities to interact with fellow impact alumni, campus and community leaders and organizations.

What We Do

The Highlander Advocacy Network has quarterly meetings to learn how to support UCR at the state and federal level. Additionally, there are meetings featuring campus officials, and the annual Advocacy Day in Sacramento where volunteers meet with legislators to advocate on behalf of UCR.
