We are excited to kick off this year’s UCRAA Scholarship application cycle, and invite you to participate as a volunteer reader and scorer. Your support plays a vital role in selecting the outstanding students who will receive scholarship awards from the UCR Alumni Association.
What to Expect:
- Timeline: Reviews will take place between June 25 and July 9. Interviews for First-Year, Transfer, and Re-Entry will take place during the week of July 18-July 26.
- Format: All application materials will be shared via email. Interviews will be via Zoom or at the Alumni & Visitors Center (determined by the region chair).
- Time Commitment: We estimate that reviewing and scoring applications will take approximately 2-4 hours. Interviews for the top 3-5 applicants will be 30 minutes each (2.5 hours). Deliberation will happen directly after the final applicant.
- Training: Reviewers will receive a scoring guide to help standardize the scoring. Each interview committee will be given the same questions to ensure consistency.
